“Technique and Technologies for Liquidation of Emergency Floods of Oil and Oil Products, Fire Exting

In September was published a reference book “Technique and technologies for liquidation of emergency floods of oil and oil products, fire extinguishing means” under the editorship of I.A. Meritsidi, Cand. Sc. (Engineering), Director General of GeoLineProject.

GeoLineProject took part in OGE 2008 conference with reports “Liquidation of oil floods in the offshore ice conditions using pneumatic barrier” and “Means of sea shores protection in case of oil and oil products spills using thermal expanded graphite sorbent-based absorption technology”.

The reference book covers all sources and dangers of oil and oil products spills, transformation of spilt oil and oil products on water surface, in ice conditions and on soil (EX SITU technologies), methods of emergency oil spills liquidation and decontamination, recycling and utilization of oil-contaminated waste and sample emergency oil spills liquidation plans.

We hope next year GeoLineProject will make no less interesting reports and demonstrate its equipment during the “OGE/ Technique and technologies for liquidation of emergency floods of oil and oil products, fire extinguishing means” exhibition which will be held on October 13-16, 2009 at IEC “Crocus Expo”.
